SECOND INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL "YA. HAY YA MI. NO "
OCTOBER 4th TO OCTOBER 12th , 2014
. 1 - OBJECTIVE:
Foster folklore through the development of cultural activities to promote a brotherly relationship between different towns.
2 - PURPOSE OF THE EVENT . :
Making a series of presentations in various cities and institutions that allow the diffusion of folklore as a mechanism of national identity, promoting a culture of fraternity between countries through art, music and local dance of each of the participating countries , promoting coexistence, appreciation, sharing experiences, and recognition of the qualities of the various participating groups .
3 – MAIN HOST:
Huichapan , Hidalgo, Mexico .
4 – REGIONAL HOST TOWNS.
In the towns of Huichapan , Alfajayucan , Mineral de la Reforma, Actopan ,Tepeapulco, Nopala de Villagran , Tecozautla Chapantongo and also in the institutions of Universidad Politecnica de Pachuca (UPP), Universidad Tecnológica del Occidente del Estado de Hidalgo (ITSOEH), Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Oriente del Estado de Hidalgo (ITESA) ,Universidad Politécnica Francisco I. Madero (UPFIM) and Universidad Tecnológica de la zona Metropolitana del Valle de México (UTVAM) in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico
5 - DATE:
From: October 4th to October 12th, 2014 .
6 - REQUIREMENTS:
Groups must have an invitation letter, which the organizing committee will issue unpon request via email at :
firstname.lastname@example.org or at email@example.com attaching resume of the applicant group .
The invited group should send a written confirmation of the acceptance and assistance , attaching the following documents :
· Invitation letter
· Engagement letter
· Written repertoire
· Name & Summary of repertoire to be presented.
· Press Photos
· Group’s data sheet
· Registration form .
The Guest group must have a maximum of 25 members , which includes a director , dancers , musicians (if any ) and all assistance who actively participate in the Festival.
The organizers will allow a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 20 continuous minutes for each group participation.
The Festival organizers will provide:
Lodging : hotel, hostels or family homes.
Food : 2 daily meals (breakfast and dinner)
Transport : local transport during the festival for all participating groups.
Guide : qualified to solve any mishap .
The Festival organizers will not provide air or ground transportation expenses from the Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City, which is the arrival point.
The guest group are required to have at least 6 different repertoires, that may be presented at different times.
The Festival will be held in private locations, outdoors or institutions according to the internal policies of the organization.
The organizers won’t be responsable for any lost ítems during the festival.
The program activities will be announced upon arrival of the group
Participating groups should confirm travel details at least 30 days prior to arrival in Mexico City , via email, with the following data :
- Flight number
- Departure time from country of origin and route to-follow .
- Check to confirm transport
groups must bring a confirmed flight back to their country of origin dated Sunday October 12th.
Each guest group must bring it’s country 's national anthem and flag.
Failure to comply with the following requirements will be cause for dismissal from the Festival.
Each group must bring (those who do not have live music) it’s program on CD and in electronic format.
Each participant must have a travel insurance which will cover the time during his/her stay in Mexico.
The deadline date for registration will be on May 30th, 2014 .
