There is also space for the Feast of contemporary art museums planned for Saturday, April 12, on the occasion of the reopening of the Museum of Praetorian Palace. The Center for Contemporary Art "Luigi Pecci" will give an important contribution to the celebrations in the city: its presence will be witnessed by the magic of a work of Fabrizio Corneli, Florentine artist said at the international level, entitled "Skin of light" and shown in a room on the ground floor of the Praetorian Palace.
The art of Corneli is sdoppierà. At sunset on Friday, April 11th will be inaugurated another installation, this time in Piazza Santa Maria in Castello, a few meters from the Praetorium. The work, entitled "The Great Dreamer", plays a woman's face lost in his own thoughts that transforms the surrounding area into an artistic space load of wonder and illusion.
Corneli's work is the first of a series of interventions that wind in May in the historic center of the city within the "Contemporanea Prato", commissioned by Mayor Roberto Cenni, who is also chairman of the Pecci: an exhibition in which you can admire the works of contemporary artists of international renown. Among these was Mark Loyola, New Pop Italian sculptor of the most successful in the world, which will offer an installation that will be housed in the inner courtyard of the Praetorian Palace.
The Museum of the Praetorian Palace, therefore, as a bridge between the art of yesterday and today's art in the name of Prato and its artistic vocation enclosed in the circuit of "Lawn Museums". And in this homage to the contemporary could not miss the artist Emilio Isgro, internationally famous for his "erasures" with which he has contributed to the birth and developments of visual poetry and conceptual art.
For the Praetorian has made an important project titled "Cursed Tuscans, Italians blessed", which in May, will be located on the ground floor. Emilio Isgro, recently awarded the title of Artist of the Year by the transmission of Rai Radio 3, will attend the inauguration of the Museum of the Praetorian Palace, along with another symbol of the contemporary artist, this time from Prato: Andrea Martinelli.
