Relating and Romancing from the ground of Oneness
From childhood, we are taught how relationships are supposed to look. Our fairytales, society, and religions especially, get caught up in “the right way” to be partnered and create deeper intimate bonds with others: “one man, one woman, until death do us part, for time and all eternity, and they all lived happily ever after….” At the root of most relationships is the most unhealthy of assumptions, “I am not whole unless I have my mate”.
We will take a look at the foundations of healthy (and unhealthy) relationship, exploring the underlying myths and stories that we cling to, the jealousy and angst we feel because of them, and how we can form relationships from wholeness and bliss instead of from a fairytale illusion.
