This week's SOULSEEK focuses on the heart and soul of WELTENBUERGER MUSIC: the interaction between label heads Bryan Sanderson and Darius Sabbaghzadeh (FUXUS). As WELTENBUERGER MUSIC is rooted in their collaboration, the two have been refining their sets as a sort of hyperlinked dance music history, culminating in the syncopated urban sounds of the African diaspora. This week's set is dedicated to the legacy of Frankie Knuckles, whose importance cannot be understated, through particular attention to the forces that shaped and brought about house music to arise in urban Detroit and Chicago.
Taking over the entire night, the two go for a full five hour B2B, or shall we say, B2D session from 9PM to 2AM.
