Welcome to the Business and Cultural Forum ‘Days of Russia in Europe’ which, from April 25 to April 30, 2014, will take place in Germany, France, Switzerland and Luxembourg.
The cultural program of the Forum ‘Days of Russia in Europe’ will be held at the
III Festival ‘Days of Russian Culture’. These will represent the best examples of the various areas of national art. These are part of the activities included in the program of the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Switzerland. Among the most significant events and participants of the cultural program of the Forum:
The early ‘Days of Russian Culture’ in Baden-Baden and other German and French cities achieved great success during the spring of 2012 and 2013. Since those halcyon days these events have gained tremendous popularity on the international stage and earned rave reviews from European audiences.
Past festivals demonstrated the highest levels of artistic professionalism. There was evidence of significant breadth of creativity worthy of Russia’s rich and enduring culture. This festival again will provide perfect opportunity to surpass the highest expectations.
The Third Festival is to be held in Baden-Baden and other cities during April 2014. These will include Berlin, Wiesbaden, Braunschweig, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Stuttgart and Mulheim. They will also be held in France (Strasbourg), Switzerland (Bern) and Luxembourg.
Among the most significant events and participants of the cultural program of the Forum 2014:
The European tour of the ‘Sovremennik’ Theatre led by artistic director Galina Volchek,
Vladimir Spivakov with the Russian Chamber Orchestra ‘Moscow Virtuosi’
Igor Butman and the Moscow State Jazz Orchestra
Famed ballet troupe led by great choreographer Boris Eifman
and other events.
Program of III Festival 'Art of the Assemblies. Days of Russian Culture' held screenings and meetings will be held with well-known figures of cinema and theatre.
Films and meetings with celebrated film and theatre directors and folk artists. This will be opportunity to bring together European audiences with famous Russian orchestras and creative teams, folklore programs, art and photo exhibitions. There will be museum exhibitions, presentations, and special programs for children and youth audiences.
April 27, 2014 will be occasion for the planned unveiling of a monument to great writer Anton Chekhov in Badenweiler, Germany. This was where the celebrated Russian writer spent the last days of his life. This monument was sculptured by Sergey Isakov, Honoured Artist of Russia, member of the Academy of Fine Arts. The planning, creation and installation of this gift to the City of Badenweiler was financed by Russian patrons.
Business program of Forum is dedicated to the theme of ‘Long-term investment policy in a globalized economy’.
The Cultural and Business Forum ‘DAYS OF RUSSIA IN EUROPE’ will bring bring together cutting edge Russian and foreign experts, leaders of business structuring, diverse experts and analysts, representatives of public authorities. The purpose is to develop consolidated approaches to solving urgent financial and economic problems.
In order to organize the business program, the International Guild of Financiers in conjunction with the Institute of Financial Markets and Business Development Center conducted a great job of consolidating Russian business circles, the identification of potential investment projects and development of issues for the transition to closer industrial cooperation between Russia and Europe.
April 25 at 18:30 in the famous Kurhaus Baden-Baden Gala evening to be held in honour of the Cultural and Business Forum ‘Days of Russia in Europe‘. For the guests there will be exclusive events to attend including a memorable Gala concert performed by world renowned Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman.
From 23rd to 29th April 2014 there will be a tour of Germany by the fabulous Igor Butman Moscow State Jazz Orchestra.
Here can be experienced in a packed program masterpieces of jazz and original compositions. Concerts will be held in the cities of Baden-Baden (Kurhaus), Berlin (Rathaus Reinickendorf), Dusseldorf (Museum Kunstpalast), Hamburg (Friedrich-Ebert-Halle), Nuremberg (Meistersingerhalle), Offenbach (Capitol) and Stuttgart (Liederhalle).
April 29 to May 8, 2014. For the first time in 12 years, Theatre Sovremennik (Contemporary) toured Russia, Germany and in diverse countries abroad. The standing of Theatre Sovremennik's artistic director Galina Volchek is unsurpassed. The legendary theatre will present six performances. Filled with dramatic passion such performances as these never lose their relevance or place in history. These are ‘The Cherry Orchard’ by Anton Chekhov and ‘Five Evenings’ by A.M. Volodin. Performances by the most lauded artistes will be held in Baden-Baden, Offenbach and Mülheim. These performances will be subtitled in the German language.
From 25th to 28th April, the concert tour will present the Russian Chamber Orchestra Moscow Virtuosi under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov. The timing of the tour is significant as it coincides with Orchestra Moscow Virtuosi's celebration of its 35th birthday.
Under the auspices III Festival ‘Art-Assemblies. Days of Russian Culture’ orchestra ‘Moscow Virtuosi’ will perform at the best concert venues in Luxembourg (Philharmonie Luxembourg), Strasbourg (Church of Saint-Paul), Bern (Kulturcasino) and Baden-Baden (Kurhaus).
Renowned concert orchestra ‘Moscow Virtuosi’ will perform in Bern. These and other major events, and with the participation of representatives of Russian culture in 2014, will include in this program celebrating the 200th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Switzerland.
III Festival ‘Days of Russia in Europe’ is a large-scale project. It has secured for itself the role of the largest cultural and educational activities to enrich the relationship between Russia and Europe.
The Forum will bring together leading representatives of legislative and executive authorities of Russia. These will include the heads of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI), business representatives, academics, and representatives of large, medium and small businesses, professionals, and leaders of businesses, experts and analysts.
