18 , 19 , 20 & 21 Sept 2014
Amsterdam Tap Festival is about bringing the tap community and public together to learn, share, meet and enjoy all things Tap. The ATF selects a high calibre faculty from across Europe & around the world to fly in to conduct one jam-packed week of tap classes, 4 day choreography residencies, and special events, ensuring there is something for everyone in each level !
Amsterdam's appeal lies in its rich cultural heritage, diverse and creative culture, commercial dynamism and high quality of life. Ultimately, the city's strongest asset is its people: the people who live here, the people who work here, the people who study here, and the people who visit here.
With Amsterdam Tap Festival we reach many abroad students because it is an international city of culture, offering a diverse selection of arts, including music, theatre, art, photography & film, dance, theater and museums. Amsterdam's cultural policy assures that cultural development will continue to be a strong pillar in society.
The City of Amsterdam values the arts as a way to bind communities together - stimulating cultural and economic development in its own right. The cultural policy of the city of Amsterdam has been developed by the Arts & Culture arm of the Welfare Department, which clearly promotes a policy that nurtures this belief into reality, not only relying on the historical culture embedded in its surroundings, but supporting current cultural developments in the city.
We are looking forward to welcome you to the first edition of Amsterdam Tap Festival !
