OSUNLADE (Yoruba) - SISHI RÖSCH ( Exploited Rec/Get Physical Music/Digital Delight) - DARIO D'ATTIS (Hive Audio) - DE SUSO: Club Bellevue, Saturday April 19th 2014!
We’ve had Marshall Jefferson playing in March, TODD TERRY on Friday April 11th and soon it's time for another boss to work those turntables:
OSUNLADE (Osunlade~Yoruba Records/The Official Defected In The House).
Don’t miss this one, because he’s able to cast a spell over somebody as he starts his magic sets. It’s not worth trying to describe his music, cause it needs mind, body and soul to understand what’s going on while this artist fulfills his passion.
Sishi Rösch is a youngster compared to Osunlade but sure one of the new top shots of electronical music these days! Born in Guatemala, grew up in the States, Sishi lives now in Barcelona producing for his own labels and others as Get Physical, Exploited, No. 19 or One Rec.
Plus, interesting support for these two internationals by the locals Dario D'Attis and De Suso.
Dario had an interesting change from Purple Music to Hive Audio an started like a rocket with his 'The Good Old Days' EP.
If you like going out, because you like listening to proper electronic music at a handsome venue with a proper mixed crowd you should join this one…
See there for an unbelievable Easter bash,
Club Bellevue, Goldständer, There & Friends!

Though he's currently whipping up a storm on the underground house scene, as a youngster Sishi Rosch seemed destined to make a splash in the world of football. Born to an Italian mother and a German father in Guatemala, he emigrated to the United States where his skills on the soccer field stood him in good stead. However, a knee injury put an end to his dream and set him on a new path – namely music. Having been captivated by the world of house and techno, after being introduced to it by his older brothers, Sishi began collecting music and immersed himself in DJing to numb the pain of his football career coming to such an abrupt and tragic end.
Soon the distant shores of Europe were beckoning him over and he left the States to set up a new life in Barcelona. It was there, in the sunkissed Catalan city, that Sishi found his true calling. Having absorbed the business-savvy psyche of his mother and father, he attended business school – but also became heavily involved in the city's nightlife, picking up a residency at a tiny bar to begin with, and soon finding himself at the centre of a new underground movement. As the number of followers grew at his weekly residency, so too did the reputation of his legendary after-parties and, as we all know, it's at after-parties where some of the strongest bonds and most fruitful relationships are spawned. It was there he met both Diego Moreno and Miguel Puente, who he cites as friends and inspirations, and consequently started Digital Delight, the label he co-owns with Moreno. Buoyed by the success of his residency, the close ties with his comrades Diego, Miguel and Damian Uzabiaga and his background in business, he took to marketing the label with ease and began to work on establishing the label as a force to be reckoned with. The label helped propagate a new sound - dark, raw, murky and full of seductive funk.
Sishi's love of nineties hip-hop combined with his early forays into funky house and the influence of idols such as Steve Lawler spawned his sound, a lethal cocktail of contemporary underground house with west coast gangster rap flavours. It wasn't long before some of the scene's elder statesman started to pay attention to what Sishi and his Digital Delight co-dees were creating, culminating in a collaboration with partner in crime Miguel Puente being signed to No.19's Social Experiment compilation, mixed by Soul Clap, in the early part of 2011. Serious Compassion marked a milestone in Sishi's career propeling him into the limelight and, soon after, another link-up with Puente was to become an anthem at the hallowed grounds of DC10 in Ibiza. This Feeling was played on a regular basis by some of the scene's most respected tastemakers, including Crosstown Rebels owner Damian Lazarus.
These two tracks helped define Sishi's career and put his name on the map, along with a standout performance at Sonar in 2011. Before he knew it, Digital Delight, and his other outlet Sultry Vibes, had become established labels within the underground house music sphere and he was soon receiving a deluge of new music from artists all over the world inspired by his sound while signing his own tracks to labels such as One Records, Get The Curse, No.19, Lower East, Mr. Nice Guy, Exploited Records and Get Physical.
Ask Sishi who the greatest rapper of all time is and, quick as a flash, he'll tell you, “Eazy-E” - one of the originators of gangster rap. The gritty sounds that Eazy-E was responsible for back in the nineties permeates through Sishi's music, from Mr. Nice Guy release Deep In The Hood through to Booty Express on Mussen Project and his menacing Get The Curse EP, No More Hits. Seedy, rugged and hypnotic with plenty of brutish energy, there's no mistaking a Sishi Rosch production which is why he's been booked to play all around the world and continues to influence a whole new generation of producers.
There have been a few twists and turns on his journey up to this point but Sishi is finally living out his dreams, travelling the globe and playing his music to thousands of adoring fans. Even his mother has given him her blessing which, above all else, is the ultimate reward for the self-confessed workaholic. Though he didn't become a professional football player, but thanks to his hard work, honest nature and natural flair Sishi is still hitting the back of the net on a regular basis...
Osunlade is an artist who personifies art. His music as well as his being creates unified melodies manifested with balance, life and wisdom. Osunlade hails from St. Louis, Missouri; a place known for pioneering jazz and blues through innovative artists like Miles Davis. At age seven Osunlade discovered the piano and the vision of his life’s destiny was born. By the age of twelve he found an interest in creating songs of his own. He later formed local bands, taught himself several instruments and studied further the development of his craft.
His professional journey began in 1988, at age seventeen during a visit to Hollywood. He quickly caught the ear of choreographer/performer Toni “Mickey” Basil. Offering him a role in the development of musical pieces for several projects including the children’s television series Sesame Street. With her encouragement he quickly moved to Los Angeles and began what would become a long history of music production. A few years later he would produce the very first album for the then independent Interscope Records. The artist was Gerardo, a long time friend and aspiring actor/dancer. “Rico Suave” one of the very first Latin pop songs and novelty catch phrases to date was born. Now with a multi-platinum album and four gold singles to his name, it wasn’t long before he was afforded many opportunities to master his craft.
Within the next ten years and over twenty albums credited, Osunlade felt the pressures and practices of the music business overshadowed his passion of music. He deciding to no longer work under the influences of corporate ideals and demands. Choosing to find spiritual solace and honor his soul, he was led to Ifa, an ancestral based culture/religion based on nature, deriving from the Yoruba tribes of Africa and practiced by the slaves during the Diaspora to America.
In 1999, Osunlade would embark on what is now his dream come true. The founding of Yoruba Records. Recognized as one of the most important dance music labels worldwide, Yoruba Records is purely a source of music created to elevate the soul.
As the success of the label grew, so did the demand for Osunlade to expand. In 2001 he released his debut album on the respected Soul Jazz Records label. “Paradigm” quickly became one of the biggest house albums that year
and dubbed him the messiah of ancestral house music. With the support of dj’s worldwide and his music now introduced to a wider spectrum of listeners, this veteran musician/composer/producer has finally achieved balance within.
Now known for his legendary dj sets, remixes and fourteen albums including several mix cd’s, Osunlade has placed himself on solid ground. His passion is in Yoruba Records and maintaining its reputation of its unparallel quality in music.
Someone whose passion for music and feelings are reflected in his productions!
Ever since he was a child and heard his father playing drums (for the Italian Band „Camaleonti“) he has loved music and his father became his idol!
As a teenager Dario was attracted by the Garage & New Jersey House sound (specially the one played by djs Djaimin (Coleur 3) & Tony Humphries (Kiss Fm radio), in fact these radio shows boosted his energy & love for the music.
He bought his first vinyl at the age of 15 and a year later started his dj career in his home town of Schaffhausen playing in clubs & bars like the “Kaktus” where he had a great time!
In 1997 he created the successful party series „Amaro“ with two friends in several spots in the city and a bit later he started playing all over Switzerland. Dario was recognized as a dj of great charm and also starts playing for the first time at Club Oxa in Zurich.
Around then he also had a radio show called “Dancemachine” that included national & international guests.
To be a producer was always one of his dreams and in 1999 it came true when he made his first production on a small Swiss label. Since 2001 he has built his own recording studio.
Actually Dario is releasing his productions on labels like Hive Audio in Switzerland, Nervous Records in New York and SSOH from France .
