The ‘Earthwise’ team is happy to announce a trek to the ‘Kareri Lake- Minkani Pass’, nestled in the magnificent Dhauladhar mountains of Himachal Pradesh. The trek route journeys through thick forests, unsullied valleys and Gaddi tribal villages. The Gaddi are a semi nomadic shepherd tribe, whose main occupation is agriculture and rearing of sheep and goats.
The Kareri Lake valley is one of the lesser known trekking routes, which has helped preserve its pristine landscapes.
Dharamshala marks the start-up of the trek, while the Kareri Lake (3200) is our top camp & Minkani Pass (4200 mtrs) will be our highest point of ascent. Take this opportunity to explore one of the most spectacular areas of the Himalayan range and experience the simplicity and hospitality of the Himachali culture.
