Can you imagine standing in railroad park and half the people there just collapse? What would you think? How would you feel?
Hey guys, Scott Autrey here from Birmingham Vaudeville Co. I wanted to invite you all to a little flash mob event I am calling "In an instant". This is a really easy event and doesn't last long, and it will be done purely for the sake of fun, doing a flash mob that will get people talking. It will make for interesting cellphone video, is not terribly hard, and will be a good practice flash mob for those who have never participated before.
On May 10th at 2:30pm, we will go the park. Bring your friends. picnic, enjoy your day. Its just a typical day at the park. But at 3:00pm, all of our cellphones will ring/buzz/vibrate/signalling the start of it - and in that moment we will instantly and simultaneously fall down, dropping "dead" to the ground. After 60 seconds, we will get back up like nothing happened and just continue our day.
We live in a beautiful city with some of the most amazing things to do and incredible people to share it with. Some people forget that or take that for granted. I want to remind people that we could go, in an instant. Remind people to appreciate every moment, cherish their time, look around them and enjoy the world. Appreciate things.
Now.....we aren't going to say any of that. We are just going to fall down for 60 seconds and play dead. And when we recover, go on about our lives while those who don't know what's going on will be left scratching their heads.
I'll find some media coverage for the event.
Should be fun. Feel free to ask questions and I look forward to seeing you there.
