It's that time of year again, when hundreds of heathens and maniacs descend upon Chicago for a weekend of rock'n'roll-fueled debauchery inside the confines of Ye Ol' Empty Bottle. From 2001-2006, the Chicago Blackout Festival was the first purely Midwest rock & roll festival, celebrating the yearly release of Horizontal Action Magazine. Each year drew sold-out, international crowds to witness the wide range of unique underground performers and to catch the best in up-and-coming bands exploding out of the underground. 2011 year marked its triumphant return and over the past few years we've been delighted to witness legends on our stage: ROKY ERICKSON, CHROME, REDD KROSS and DWIGHT TWILLEY, NERVOUS EATERS, THE SPITS, NOBUNNY, OBLIVIANS, PAGANS, REATARDS, REIGNING SOUND, CLONE DEFECTS, to name a few. We’re damn pleased to welcome back HoZac, now a dynamic independent label that Billboard rates as #9 in their Top 50 Independent Record Labels in America list.
