THE FREEXIELANDERS Sunday, May 4th at 12 noon (concert hall).
At House of Jazz, a new appointment with The Freexielanders, a compound word derived from the combination of free and (d) iexieland. One way to make explicit the vocation of a music deeply rooted in the tradition of the "good old jazz" but influenced by the multiplicity of sound stimuli of our contemporaneity.
A pack of scores for American small orchestra was purchased many years ago, it is not known how many, in a flea market in a European capital. Those who slept soundly music along with other books for all this time: they are not particularly well-known and the authors do not tell us much, but have awakened and asked to come out of hibernation to appear in all their glory, I wonder why .. .? Perhaps it was written and arranged in the '30s and today, in the midst of an economic crisis which according to many is reminiscent of '29, they found a recall irresistibile.Certamente coexistence with the other books has deeply influenced by our players we interpret them at our best!
