Housed in the beautiful palace designed by Vignola in the second half of the sixteenth century., The museum is based on the most modern museological methods through which the visitor will embark on a journey back in time along a spectacular exhibition - on two floors - composed of both images transmitted through videos, reconstruction of the tombs in scale and printed photos on the walls, and by means of funerary objects from the Etruscan necropolis spread throughout the territory: Vineyard Square, Pianezze Centocamere.

Immediately after the visit to the museum will kick off the walk.
The course is divided into several stages, all of the highest interest.

We will start from the "circle graves" of the necropolis of Vineyard Square closest to the town center and also the oldest (second half of the eighth century BC.). In fact, this necropolis were found the most impressive tombs and richer. The investigation is still ongoing, have recently revealed a core of inhumation burials are characterized by the presence of stone circles that delimit. The excavation also revealed that clubs made for burials latest (end of VII - mid-sixth century BC.) Include within them the depositions oldest (second half of the eighth century BC.), Located at a ground level more low; Some kits can be seen in the Archaeological Museum "Civita". It is very plausible to assume a non-local group, which has brought with it, and has kept the funeral rites of the area of origin.

This will be followed, passing from the chamber tombs in the necropolis of The Sane and the site of the ancient Etruscan town situated on the hill of Civita, visiting old Hydraulic Pumps built in the late nineteenth century in Le Moline to reach the water drinking in Grotte di Castro. Currently you can see in situ the intake works and a canal raised masonry, which were diverted the waters of the Fosso di Santa Caterina, and from this channel, to fall down in the hut, where there are turbines, making them turn.

The last leg of the walk will be the Etruscan necropolis of Pianezze with the monumental chamber tombs (sixth century BC). The necropolis in particular is characterized by chamber tombs excavated in the western side of tuff coast and disposed on at least four orders. In the phase of monumental necropolis (sixth century BC) the prevailing pattern is formed on the type of tomb atrium onto which the three environments. This plan, along with other characteristics, such as the gabled ceiling and the presence of architectural elements carved in the tuff (the central beam of the roof and pillars of support) are the transposition of the house of the living in the world of the dead. With regard to the mode of burial, the most remarkable feature that could be detected regarding the use of the dead lay in pits dug in the floor, even the atrium, and in niches dug into the walls.
The walk will end around 13:00. It is advised to dress appropriately and in case of rain will be postponed.
