An Evening at the Embassy of Italy: Private-Public Relations- How Governments and Firms interact in the US and EU
The Georgetown University Italian and European Clubs - with the collaboration of Italians in DC and the kind support of the Italian Embassy - are glad to bring you a panel discussion on Private-Public Relations: How Governments and Firms Interact in the US and EU. The discussion will focus on how private firms interact with governmental institutions and the public sphere as a whole. Particular focus will be dedicated to analyzing how businesses develop their non-market strategy in the United States and in the European Union, and what is the product of such interactions. Furthermore, the panelists will identify the similarities and differences in business-government relations between the US and the EU, identifying contemporary trends.
Are businesses gradually moving towards new types of strategy? How are governmental institutions reacting to this? How should businesses actually relate to governmental institutions nowadays and vice versa? How do other factors like trade agreements, domestic regulation, and political trends fit into this outlook?
We are pleased to announce that the panelists discussing these issues will be the Counselor for Economic Affairs at the Italian Embassy Lorenzo Galanti, thehead of the ENEL office in DC Ambassador Francesco Olivieri, and Georgetown Professor Carlo Prato.
Guest list is limited. First 60 people to RSVP will be our guests, and the first 15 people to arrive at the event, starting at 5:45, will receive a free Italian dinner at Il Canale after the event. We are proud to bring you this event without any ticket cost.
