The transformational power of Nonviolent Communication
A three-day intense experiential training
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) was developed by dr. Marshall Rosenberg to transform the ‘power-over’ paradigm 8dominant in our societies) into a partnership paradigm; by using compassion as the motivation for action (rather than fear, guilt, shame, blame, or threat).
With further explorations from hundreds of trainers and tens of thousands of practitioners around the world, the approach soon reached beyond the technicalities of communication, integrating practical, emotional and spiritual levels into a Life-serving approach to human existence.
NVC is not about getting people to do what we want. It is about creating a quality of connection in which everybody’s need matter and get eventually met. NVC is also not about being polite and diplomatic, but rather about expressing yourself with full honesty and integrity. And, finally, NVC is not about forcing our life to be what we think it should be, but rather establishing a full and open flow of presence, aliveness and fullness.
This experiential workshop will give participants an opportunity to understand and practice NVC through demonstrations, role-playing and exercises, so that the NVC model can get integrated in daily-life situations – in our personal inner life as well as in families, at work, as well as in building healthy communities.
Participants will practice to:
connect to others with empathy, hearing their needs behind difficult messages
self-express fully, honestly and sincerely without hurting others
stay calm and cantered in challenging situations
say “no” in a connecting way while caring for our needs
transform pain into peace - the healing power of deep self-empathy
use body awareness for cultivating presence and peace

The training will be a combination of:
short sharings from the trainers, supported by real-life examples
real-case demonstrations of empathy and self-empathy
skills training: applying NVC approach to your concrete life situation (working in dyads and triads)
powerful exercises such as enemy image transformation, four chairs...
NVC dance floor to support integration of empathic listening and speaking
deep self-empathy work as developed by Robert Gonzales
individual self-reflection & sharing
