Filtering the Crap: A DIY approach to publishing in the eye of the storm

Ernst Markus Stein / Dj Shlucht of DIY Church discusses the pros and cons of broadcasting culture and internet publishing after more than 20 years of internet.

In this workshop the audience is invited to take a deeper look on creating and publishing content online and how its 24/7 availability and constant flow transforms values and information as well as figuring out how to make use of this enormous amount of content.

The workshop also wants to work out and discuss new strategies and tendencies in publishing online and in real life and its relation as an artisitc practice and research to generate narrative and sustainable content.

The workshop will be part of a work in progress manifesta of Dj Shlucht about internet Live streaming as artistic practice. DIYChurch is a weekly 2hours live internet broadcast on the radio23.org network. It started its becoming on the 2.1. 2010 and it will last for 10 years - after this 10 years DIYChurch will erase all its content and accounts from the internet and disappear.

Part of the workshop is also a pop quiz to prove what one learned and a small number of guest talks / presentations
