New York City's hottest open mic in the heart of Queens' cultural mecca and in the coolest coffee spot around - COFFEED in Long Island City.
Produced by the long-running independent performance series, The Inspired Word, which has featured Grammy winners, American Idol finalists, Golden Globe Award winners, Emmy nominated actors, and HBO Def Poetry stars, this open mic is open to ALL types of performing artists - musicians (singer/songwriters, acoustic guitarists, pianists, vocalists), comedians, poets, fiction/nonfiction writers, playwrights, spoken word artists, storytellers, performance artists, dancers.
30 performance slots, 8-minute time limit.

Admission: $7 for audience/solo performers (pre-pay through http://coffeedopenmic.eventbrite.com and bring one audience member/non-performer friend FREE), $10 for performance duos (also +1 audience member/non-performer friend free option), $12 for performance groups of 3 or more performers (+2 audience members/non-performer friends free).
One item (food or drink) minimum inside venue per person.
In addition to amazing coffee and pastries, red and white wine, as well as Astoria-based Single Cut beer, are avilable for purchase.
The Inspired Word will donate 5% of each month's proceeds to the favorite charity of one of our regular artists.
No age limit.
