where beginners and students of all levels can explore art and craft from a fresh perspective.

2014 COURSE LIST
Pottery: Listening to the Clay
Participants will explore clay using various exercises and work processes. Students will begin by making pinch pots and coil pots, and go on to slab building and throwing clay.
Introduction to Weaving
In this wonderful weaving course, students will learn how to wind a warp, dress the loom, weave, and even take home their own hand-woven scarves!
Creating a Documentary Film
A fun and highly practical workshop for beginning and intermediate filmmakers. Learn how to create a compelling, content-driven documentary film.
Theater: Playing a Role
Participants will explore exercises, improvisations and texts, including Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ to open the question, ‘What does it mean to play a role?’
Learn the fascinating art of woodblock printing. Develop your drawing skills using multiple tools, concepts, and designs to create your own unique woodblock print!
Woodworking: Exploring Turning
Come make chips fly with David Barnet, and take home your own hand-turned bowl at the end of the weekend!
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the farm and find your inner poet. No experience is necessary, as every poem will be a new beginning for us all.

The cost of the weekend is $250 which includes the three day workshop of your choice. Each workshop class includes five 3 hour sessions.
Meals and Lodging are additional per meal/night see the registration form for details
overnight lodging is available at the Folk Art Guild at the cost of $50 dollars a night. (beds are limited so reserve yours quickly)
Campers are also welcome at the price of $10 dollars a night.
