On 2nd October 2009, the beginning of a new era was sealed for Brazil. The city of Rio de Janeiro was chosen to be the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. There are an expected 550,000 attending the Games in Rio an estimated 1.2 billion people watching around the world and the Brazilian government is investing £11 billion in development in infrastructure ahead of the 2016 Rio Games. This is a pivotal event for Brazil and the opportunities are immense for economic growth and prosperity.
Building on KREOD’s success at the London 2012 Olympic Games, award winning architectural designer Chun Qing Li, founding director of KREOD and China Design Week (arriving in Spring 2015, London) and his team will deliver an International Trade Pavilion in Rio for the 2016 Olympic Games. The Pavilion is 1200 sqm and will be built in Barra da Tijuca where the majority of the games will be held.
As a 1200 Sqm fully functioning structure, the KREOD International Trade Pavilion will allow entrepreneurs and industry leaders to showcase the world’s most innovative products and services via a one-of-a-kind events platform. Through an ambitious programme of cross-sector International business events during August and September 2016, the project will assist in accelerating economic growth throughout the participating countries.
The exhibition will reveal the design plans of KREOD International Trade Pavilion Rio Olympic Games 2016 and KREOD London Olympic Pavilion 2012.
