RIO PADICE (LIVE)
ARNAUD LE TEXIER
Our next special guest is someone we've had under our radar for a while. Although he prefers to keep a low profile, he has already made a big impact thanks to a steady stream of quality underground jams - a this speaks volumes already. We are talking about Rio Padice, who has been pushing the old school sound through his vintage hardware gear, from lo-fi samplers to synthesisers and drum machines. This has resulted in a varied and solid discography over the last 6 years, appearing on his own label Early Sounds, as well as on pedigree imprints like Rawax, Royal Oak, Hudd Traxx, Bass Culture, and Tsuba. One of the highlights of his career is his debut long player Tropical Interlune, an album full of nuanced analog house that is breezy and soulful, but always with a raw edge. If you want to check out his sounds, he will be playing LIVE at Melt so you can expect a few toys at Basing House for the May Bank Holiday.
