"Maggionatura 2014" in Giaveno, Flowers, products, exhibitions ... from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May 2014.
Still, producers and local produce, art and landscape ... these are the central themes of the 19th edition of Maggionatura.
The initiative will be open on Friday and Saturday by some exhibitions dedicated to the art and craft excellence in embroidery and decorative artifacts "blue", Blu Giaveno, by an exhibition of paintings at the Villa Favorita titled "Nature" and the presentation of research and work on the potential of the territory of Giaveno and Sangone conducted by applying the methodology of Systemic Design by the Politecnico di Torino.
Maggionatura will culminate Sunday, May 11th (from 10 to 18:30) with the feast of natural and land made with the presence of more corners of the market, from the flowers and plants for the garden, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, honey, bread and much more to offer an exhibition of recall and interest.
In this sense Maggionatura confirms ideal place for the meeting between producers and visitors, and an opportunity to take home what you need to embellish with flowers, its own balcony and garden and take charge of simple goodness of the land, to be enjoyed in the family and among friends.
In the square there will be Molines farms giavenesi and Valsangone, with them also the market of Coldiretti with cheese, honey, vegetables, fruit; a little farther on in Piazza San Lorenzo Church side of the market Batù of flowers, plants and "Piantini" for the garden.
Color and scents attract naturally to this corner of Giaveno, where in the nearby Church of the Batù from Friday 9 to Sunday, May 11th will be an exhibition - event "Blue Giaveno" by the Municipal Administration with the participation of cultural associations and Embroider Giaveno DonneDiValle.
A particular emphasis in this edition of Maggionatura will be placed to the theme of "Blue Giaveno," it is the rediscovery of a local tradition linked to the production of cotton or hemp dyed blue and adorned with white decorations, products in high Sangone even in the nineteenth century, that by two local cultural associations have been taken to be discounted in embroidery, ceramics, decorations on wood and other materials for original and unique items from the name "Blue Giaveno." Crafts that will be presented during the three days at the Church of Batù. The Blue is the color of Giaveno so, it already is with the yellow at the institutional level, but will also become the color of the cultural development of Giaveno.
Even businesses will be affected by this aspect with the delivery of a "square of blue fabric" to be used and to be placed in the window, on the counter, in a visible place of your business to represent the launch of the "Blue Giaveno."
The exhibition "Blue Giaveno" will open on Friday, May 9 at 17 pm and will be open to the public Saturday from 9.30 to 13 and from 15 to 18:30, Sunday from 9.30 to 18.30.

Mark Pauluzzo, giavenese, was born and studied at the Art School under the guidance of well-known masters such as Tabusso, Ruggieri, Ramella, Casorati and Soffiantino. He also studied at the Conservatorio Verdi.
