RPAL Rescue Round Table “Targeted Spay/Neuter” Workshop
? Does 1 ZIP code in your community have a particularly high shelter intake?
? Are you receiving lots of complaints from a single neighborhood?
? Do your professionals know that a certain park is overrun with unsterilized feral cats?
In order to best focus resources many funders now award grants to those spay/neuter programs that aim to decrease animal intake at shelters in their community and can measure the impact of their work. This live seminar will answer the following questions:
• What is targeted spay/neuter and why is it important?
• How can my community implement a targeted spay/neuter program?
• How can geographic targets be determined?
• What data needs to be collected?
• What are some examples of targeted spay/neuter grants and their successes?
• What funders are funding targeted spay/neuter grants?
We are so very happy to announce the presenter for this workshop will be the most extraordinary Ms. Bonnie Hill of the SpayNeuter Network. Bonnie will be showing us where to start, find funding and ultimately implementation of your very own targeted spay and neuter program.
Ms. Hill is the President of Spay Neuter Network and is responsible for overseeing the management of the non-profit (funding sources, programs, and overall reach of services). Bonnie has 25 years of experience in the humane medical industry, including management, marketing and sales, revenue assessment, billing and collections, compliance, profit/loss and product development. Along with her responsibilities at the high volume spay/neuter clinic, she sits on the Spay Neuter Network Board of Directors, SPAY TEXAS Board of Directors, instrumental in starting the Big Fix and Fort Worth Pet Project spay/neuter initiatives in Dallas and Fort Worth, sits on the Advisory Board for Pet Smart Charities responsible pet ownership campaign and the Advisory Committees for several local City shelters.
