Emmanuel pretty much said it all, so I'll just quote:
"Greetings Facebook 2600 People!
This is just to let you all know that we're opening up preregistration for HOPE X at 2 pm ET on Monday, January 6th. Full details are at our website at xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx (or x.hope.net if you want to avoid the .xxx domain or find it hard to type 18 x's in a row). HOPE X is happening at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City July 18-20, 2014. This year, we'd like to have all kinds of new activities and projects run by creative people. If you have ideas, write to email@example.com and tell us what ideas you have. We've got a ton of space and attendees from all over the world to impress with our talents.
In light of recent events, attention has been turned to the hacker world on an unprecedented scale. We've been telling people about the NSA and the dangers of surveillance for decades, encouraging whistleblowers from everywhere to come forward and expose the truth, and basically helping to empower those who sometimes feel their voices are unheard. Many of you have played a vital role in all of this and it appears that the mainstream may finally be getting the message. That is what will make HOPE X particularly noteworthy and fun. Not only CAN we change the world - we ARE changing the world. At HOPE X, we'll share these experiences and help to plan the future.
Our last batch of tickets sold out in under a minute. We don't expect that to happen this time as we have a much larger batch to work with this time. But it's definitely a good idea to grab them while you can. That gives us the ability to have more funds to pay for things and ensures that you'll be able to get in should ticket sales go faster than anticipated.
We'll have our website expanded in the very near future to include a lot more details and ways you can participate. We have a hope.net page here on Facebook at www.facebook.com/hopeconference. We also have an announcement mailing list that you can subscribe to directly from the x.hope.net page.
Please help us to spread the word and share any ideas and feedback."
