One the best-kept secrets in the UK, Girl Sweat, is the ever changing garage-noise beast fronted by R.A Gray. Since forming in 2011 previous full-band incarnations featured various other northern underground garage-luminaries, with mid-2013 seeing Girl Sweat turn to a solo venture, with the giant, looming creature Russell utilising a Tascam 4-track full of bass, Casio-keyboard-drums and noise loops to accompany his trademark Lap Steel, Keyboard and overdriven/echoed-out vocals, giving the show a new intensity in sound and performance; the ideal purveyor of a pop-infused bad trip.
The years gone by have seen Girl Sweat cavorting with a multitude of the best garage and psych weirdoes around including; Moon Duo, Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds, Destruction Unit, Crocodiles, Sic Alps, Lorelle Meets The Obsolete, The Cult of Dom Keller, Gallon Drunk, Sleaford Mods, Brown Brogues and Temples.
Garage slop rock.
