"Some describe my works as vitriolic, morbid or as a criticism of modern society. My goal is not to shock people, nor to give them stories to relate to. I would want my works to produce a visual incident, a stitch in one’s memory. I want them to have a mirror-like sensation or one similar to that of an X ray.
Someone told me on the vernissage - maybe out of spite - that I am beginning to resemble my works. That was probably one of the best compliments I received."
