Electro Static Productions is seeking participants in a research study to evaluate the hypothesis that the connection between music and science is undeniable. Music is the catalyst for Electro Static Productions. The science of the law of attraction is a self evident truth. Empirically proven scientific laws are applied to Electronic Dance Music, propelling people together.
Like a lightning strike or the formation of a new star, the polar attraction of two bodies with opposite charges starts with a single occurrence - a new bond results. The DJ combines strands of sound, two records, or loops . . . suddenly bodies in the audience are compelled to move and shake . . . Electro Static Productions believes everything begins with chemistry.
Our experiment continues May 22, 2014 in Chicago. Research subjects are needed. Case study details have been finalized. Our laboratory is a dance floor.
François K is a living legend. Who else has played both Studio 54 and Global Gathering? Who else has three different fan bases which span decades? Who else sits atop one of the longest running weekly club events in the nation with no sign of slowing down? Look no further than remix artist and DJ, François K. His career started during the disco drenched late 1970’s in NYC, playing his own edits at the Paradise Garage, thus laying the groundwork for what was to become modern day House. After hanging up his headphones for studio work, it wasn’t long before he was back behind the decks, but inclusion on the bill at Sonar in 2002 marked a departure from his signature sound for an edgier, techno-infused flavor, one which exposed his previous fans to a different side of electronic music and introduced him to a new crop of eager ears courtesy of a global tour with Derrick May under the name Cosmic Twins. For the past decade of Monday nights in NYC, François has lead the charge for dub in the city with his world renowned residency Deep Space, currently residing at Cielo. Join Electro Static Productions as they treat this Case Study as a warm up for Movement weekend in Detroit!
