Conceived in 2012, Smookie Illson is a collaborative music project aimed at injecting the dance music scene with a distinct take on bass music. 'Drop It Low', the first EP by the secretive trio was quickly snapped up by James Amato's Potty Mouth Music and released in the fall of 2012. It's fusion of ideas - a combination of electro / complextro house beats and melodies with hip hop swagger and low end bass - would become a template for their early output. They were soon tapped for an official remix of Deekline & Ed Solo's 'Number 1 Champion' featuring Kidd Money, Million Dan & MC Flipside for Deekline's Rat Records, following a string of well-received bootlegs, released via their Soundcloud and Facebook pages. After their bootleg trap remix of Atlanta artist Ree$e's 'Molly' saw great reaction online, they turned their attention to more 808 bass fueled productions. Not long after their take on Porn & Chicken's 'Take Your Shirt Off' was bouncing around the Internet, they put out the massive rework of DJ Assault's classic 'Ass 'N Titties', amassing over a 1000 downloads in a few days after premiering on the popular Run The Trap music blog. The next original singles, 'Back Up' and 'What U Gun Do' saw similar success, with 'Back Up' receiving consistent play by scene stalwarts like Atlanta's Mayhem. In December, Smookie Illson was recruited by Whiskey Pete's Switchblade Recordings to contribute material and deliver a mix for his 'Straight Leaning' compilation. The resulting composition, 'Make It Clap, Make It Roll', went on to be included in Bro Safari's 'Diplo & Friends' mix , airing on BBC Radio 1Xtra on January 6th, 2013.
Bad Luck- Your mom's favorite DJs.
It's been roughly 2 years of dedicated producing, and Chicago's very own, Benasis, has already begun to leave his permanent footprint in the steadily growing Bass Music scene. He's accomplished so much in such a short period of time. After winning a highly competitive Beatport Remix Competition for Skint Records legendary music producer, "Freq Nasty", he broadened his following greatly. His remix of the reggae influenced Freq Nasty track "Not Givin In" went on to make top 10 of the top 100 dubstep charts of Major Online Electronic Dance Music store "Track It Down". He's received support from not only Skint Records Freq Nasty but also Proper Pedigrees big time Trap Duo "Watapachi", heRobust, and Gramatik. After gaining attention from his release on Skint Records, he was approached by Konfront Records to do a four track EP entitled "RUID" or Rage Until I Die which also went on to do well among the masses. Benasis held his own remix competition of his track "Whatcha Gon Do." The competition itself received 30 amazing remixes created by talented music producers from all over the world. Benasis quickly continues to push forward with his talented and creative innovation of Bass Music. With followers steadily growing from all over the world, Benasis is sure to be doing big things in the months to come...

Kings of Class
DJs/Producers/Party Liaisons/Professional Pranksters/The guys who cheated off you in Math Class :)
Once upon a time, two of the classiest young gentlemen from Chicago set out on a daring journey into the mystical land of electronic dance music. The fellows got straight to work, and within only a few years had crusaded across Chicago and many other neighboring cities such as Miami, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Portland, Detroit, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Seattle. After having a slight drink from the goblet of success, these two young knights have now deemed it necessary to join forces and launch their biggest campaign on the EDM scene to date. Thus, The Kings Of Class are born.
The Kings Of Class have been working together in the electronic dance music scene under the individual aliases of Tsunami & Bobby De Maria for close to 5 years. During this time, they have shared the stage and toured with some of the genre's biggest acts, co-founded Chicago and Portland based entertainment group "United2Nite", created the international clothing and music tour brand "House Music Saved My Life" and have released original tracks and remixes on labels such as Hatrax Recordings, Movement Music, Murky Beatz & Sheeva Records. Keep a lookout for when the Kings Of Class invade your city soon!

I play anything that I can dance to, has a great drop, a pounding bass, anything that feels good.
Dropping that beat!
I was born and raised in Southern California. Ever since I started playing instruments in the 4th grade, music has been an important part of my life. The summer of 2007 marked the start of my career in Los Angeles. I moved to Chicago in 2009 bringing with me a unique style of deejaying that I developed while performing in venues throughout the LA area. After only two years in Chicago, I've played at venues such as Soldier Field, Enclave, V-live, the MID, Joe's Bar, and Maxbar. Over the years, I've developed a collection of mixes, original tracks, and remixes, which can be found at soundcloud.com/djsenseishunn.
