Pharoahe Monch, throughout his storied career, has always chosen to attempt to reach the souls of Hip-Hop folk with high caliber lyricism over a wide variety of music inspired by some of the greatest musicians of all time. “Music is dear to me, it is the soundtrack to our history. So many legends have partaken in it since its inception.” says Monch.

Monch found a partner in rhyme, Prince Poetry with a critically acclaimed run as the legendary Organized Konfusion, bursting on the scene with the creative and inventive “Who Stole My Last Piece of Chicken”. The album was lauded for the duo's inventive rhyme schemes, jazz related production and densely packed lyricism that challenged their listeners and stretched the boundaries of conventional Hip-Hop.

Following their third release, The Equinox, Organized disbanded, leaving Pharoahe Monch to express himself as a soloist. His 1998 highly touted Internal Affairs, crafted one of the greatest underground Hip-Hop albums ever with soul driven melody on songs like “Queens” and the crowd moving hit, “Simon Says”, which became a monster single, propelling Monch to commercial success. The song appeared in the blockbuster movie Charlie's Angels, as well as Boiler Room, which also featured “Right Here.”

Pharoahe Monch released his third solo album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) in March 2011, featuring Jill Scott, Styles P, Citizen Cope, Jean Grae, Royce da 5'9", Immortal Technique, Vernon Reid, Phonte, Mr. Porter, MeLa Machinko, Showtyme & DJ Boogie Blind, and features production by Exile, Marco Polo, M-Phazes, Fatin, Diamond D, Mike Loe, Samiyam, Adam Deitch, Eric Krasno and Pharoahe Monch himself.

With his highly-anticipated fourth solo-LP, “PTSD” (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) releasing April 15, 2014, Pharoahe Monch re-emerges with a new concept project from the ground-breaking emcee featuring guest appearances from Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Denaun Porter, The Stepkids, Vernon Reid and production from Lee Stone, Marco Polo, Jesse West & Quelle Chris.
