Daler Strong - A fundraising event for all 7 victims involved in the accident on 5/10/14

#DalerStrong Once a Daler, always a Daler.

On Saturday May 10th 2014 a horrific car accident claimed the lives of five local teens, and severely injured two adults visiting from out of state.

This event will serve to raise money to be evenly split between the families of the five children and to the two adults involved to help offset funeral costs and hospital expenses.

The Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale has so generously donated the use of their establishment, Sound Tech and DJ for this event!

We will be holding a Daler Auction and a 50/50 raffle.

Details are as follows;

Saturday May 31st
12PM-8PM
$20 admission for everyone 21+
$10 admission for everyone under 21
Everybody 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult due to legal issues.
If anybody under the age of 21 appears to be under the influence you will be respectfully asked to leave.

The entire admission price is going to be donated to the fundraiser!

The reason for an 8 hour event is so everyone has a chance to participate, stay as little or as long as you would like to!

There will be a cash bar, and a cash food menu.

The 50/50 raffle goes as follows;
1 ticket - $1
6 tickets - $5
15 tickets - $10
25 tickets - $15
35 tickets - $20
100 tickets - $50

Please write your name and phone number on the back of the ticket! You do NOT need to be present to win but we will need to be able to contact you. If your name and number are not on the back of the ticket and you are not present at the time of the drawing we will pull another number at the event.


Daler Auction details are as follows;
$1 per ticket.
Prizes will be numbered and descriptions written on a corresponding board.
There will be numbered bags to go along with each prize.
Place your ticket in the bag matching the number of the prize you wish to win.
One winner will be pulled from each bag toward the end of the night.

Please write your name and phone number on the back of the ticket! You do NOT need to be present to win but we will need to be able to contact you. If your name and number are not on the back of the ticket and you are not present at the time of the drawing we will pull another number at the event.

All money collected sans the prize half of the 50/50 will be donated to the fund.

There will be designated people to collect money and sell tickets. Please do not give any money to anyone who is not a designated person.

Any person or local business wanting to donate door prizes, raffle prizes, or a basket for the Daler Auction should contact me directly at (516)840-6117 by call/text. The deadline for prizes will be the date of Thursday May 29th so that I can organize and list all prize donations accordingly before the event.

Every prize that gets donated will be photographed and listed with its description on this official event page. I will also name the winners here after the event as well.

A business PayPal account has been set up so we can take Check and Credit Card donations the day of the event. If you would like to donate prior the E-Mail to send money through PayPal is Dalerstrong14@aim.com Checks to go toward this fundraiser for all seven victims can be made out to Daler Strong Fundraiser. (They take aproximately 6 business days to clear.) Please contact me directly at 516-840-6117 if you would like to donate by check prior to the event date.
PayPal takes a fee of approximately 2.7%
I will be able to screen shot and show all donations received that way.
