Re-visit the roaring twenties and celebrate Canterbury’s 45th year at Glamour, Glitz and Gatsby, the 2014 annual gala fundraiser for Canterbury Choral Society.
Known for their decadent parties, Canterbury is setting the bar high this year with a goal of $100,000 to be raised in one night for the Canterbury Youth Choruses program. The CYC program, now in its 17th year, is a curricular and performance-based youth choral program which stresses artistic and personal excellence by enhancing the singing skills and musical literacy of children through choral singing.
Committee members include; Dr. Joe Phillips (Fundraising Chair), Lisa Love, Cindi Shelby, Cynthia Archiniaco, Nina Shadid, David Stinson, Newt Brown, Randy Clayton, Julie Oseland and Robert Lintner.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 6pm at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel Ballroom. All guests will receive complimentary valet parking, a bidding number for the silent and live auction and entertainment will be provided by the Dallas based band, Time Machine. Sponsors will receive a VIP invitation to a pre-gala party to be held at the Champagne Penthouse prior to the event.
The children of Canterbury Youth Choruses will perform a selection of songs for all of the guests.
