WHAT IS GOING UP ON THE WALL...? King Street Arts and Folktown CIC would like to invite you to view and provide feedback on potential concepts for the public art work aspect of the Bank Square Regeneration Project which will be installed along the service yard wall in Berry Street Link (which runs from Royal Avenue, alongside Castle Court through to Bank Square).
Opportunity to view the potential concepts for the new Bank Square public art work in Berry Street Link
Opening event: Saturday 24th May, 1-4pm in King Street Arts, 48 King St.
The exhibition continues from 26th-30th May in Platform Arts, Queen Street.
King Street Arts would like to invite you to view potential concepts for the new public art work which will be included in the Bank Square Regeneration Project along Berry Street Link.
At the event we will screen our community short film. Food, refreshments and music will be provided throughout the day. There will also be a short talk on the topic of regeneration and art.
At our previous workshops the participants created a number of possible concepts for the art work. These initial concepts have been conceptualised by artist Annemarie Mullan and will now be displayed to allow all parts of the city's community to give us feedback.
We encourage anyone with an interest in the future of our city to view the initial concepts and place their 'likes' on those they consider best. A shortlist of the most popular concepts will be brought forward to DSD for consideration following this event.
The proposed public art work is part of the DSD's Bank Square Regeneration Project. The objective is to create a shared and inclusive public space in and around Bank Sq, and the new art work is a key element in creating a welcoming and engaging environment.
