Cormac is fundraising for the Ronald McDonald house in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin. A group of superb ladies are taking part in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon for this wonderful charity.
Fancy supporting the ladies by donating on http://www.mycharity.ie/event/cormacs_big_event/ please? Also, if you would like to raise some money off-line for the house, I will gladly send you sponsorship cards...just drop me a mail email@example.com.
Our relationship with the Ronald McDonald house began when our son, Cormac, was diagnosed with extensive cancer in December 2012. Less than 24 hours after diagnosis, Cormac was fighting for his life in ICU on a ventilator. As our world felt apart, the Ronald McDonald house and its wonderful staff took us in and provided us with a home on the grounds of the hospital. We stayed in the house for months as Cormac underwent intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Words cannot express how thankful we were to live in this house and the support they gave us.
Annually, it costs €300,000 to run the house and they have to fundraise this money every year. As a measure of our gratitude, and to ensure that other families with seriously ill children can avail of this support, we are hoping to recruit as many ladies as possible for the Flora Women's Mini Marathon.
Thanks a million for any support you can give this superb cause !!!!
