A very special evening will undoubtedly unfold in Newry on May 29th as three diverse songwriters come together to share their songs and stories in the intimate setting of the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.
Gareth Dunlop is on a roll at the minute. Since having signed a publishing deal in Nashville, his songs have have appeared everywhere, from local tourism advertising to Hollywood Blockbusters. His latest collaborations with Kim Richey have featured heavily in the latest series of 'Nashville' the hit TV show. This will be Gareth's first concert on home soil since his sell out show in the Belfast Empire at the start of the year.
Matt McGinn is well known for his soulful tones and melodic harmonies. He is a local to the Newry area, but his songs have reached far and wide. Although his next album is yet to be released, tracks from it can be heard on major US television dramas, the latest being The Client List. By blending subtle modern day love songs with sublime darker tracks this new recording presents a more mature side to Matt's song writing abilities and firmly places him at the centre of the Northern Ireland music scene.
Kim Richey is a master songwriter. The two time Grammy nominee has written for some of the biggest names in music and has collaborated with some of the coolest. She can call on Wilco's Pat Sansone and Trisha Yearwood to appear on her album and she herself guests on arguably one of the best Americanna albums of all time, Ryan Adam's 'Heartbreaker'.
