2014 marks the seventh year of the British Drift Championship and it is already shaping up to be the most competitive season yet. With a return to competition drifting at Silverstone as part of Trax and a whole new venue in the shape of Anglesey there are plenty of new challenges for the drivers to overcome in their campaigns for victory.
Round 2 - Knockhill
Date: 7th & 8th June
Traditionally the venue for the championship finale, Knockhill will instead be visited earlier in the year than usual. The track’s location couldn’t be more spectacular if we tried, with the rolling hills of Fife being the perfect backdrop for the stunning circuit.
The drivers always look forward to our annual trip to experience “The Hill”: a 100mph blind entry into the unknown before the power sapping suspension testing dip followed by a tight 90 degree right hander that awaits the brave is a pure adrenaline rush for the competitors and spectators alike.
Previously we have seen champions from various classes do battle and become victorious on this wonderful track as it is a true test of skill, determination and bravery – despite this year’s annual trip to the circuit taking place earlier in the year we have no doubts that the drivers will be pushing harder than ever!
