Tickets are now on sale for May 25th’s Three International friendly, which sees the Republic of Ireland take on Turkey at 6pm in Aviva Stadium.
The Republic of Ireland has faced Turkey 12 times in its history, recording five wins, six draws and one defeat. Irish fans will recall the 1999 heartache of playing Turkey in the play offs for EURO 2000, starting with a 1-1 draw in Lansdowne Road and ending in a 0-0 draw in Bursa, allowing Turkey to go through on the away goals rule at the expense of Mick McCarthy's men.
The match will be preceded by the FAI Junior Cup Final in Association with Umbro and Aviva. The Final takes place at the Stadium for the second year running following the success of last year’s final between Sheriff YC and Kilbarrack United, which saw Sheriff YC lift the trophy after a penalty shootout in front of 6,000 supporters. This year will be an all Munster final as St. Michael’s FC from Tipperary, who knocked out holders Sheriff YC, take on Ballynanty Rovers from Limerick.
Tickets for the FAI Junior Cup final in association with Umbro and Aviva are available to purchase from both St Michael’s FC and Ballynanty Rovers, and will also be on sale on match day next to the Lansdowne Road entrance of Aviva Stadium (opposite Elverys). Tickets for the Turkey match in Aviva Stadium, on May 25 are priced from €20 for adults and €10 for children and will also give the holder free access to the FAI Junior Cup final in association with Umbro and Aviva. It is also the final game for 2013/2014’s season ticket.
