Back by popular demand, this annual CPD lecture receives excellent feedback from our members on how this practical presentation inspires greater confidence in the police station and in the Magistrates’ Court. This lecture will feature an update from last year and provide invaluable advice for young solicitors making it a CPD must for everyone in this area of practice.
Speakers: Martin McCallion is a Partner in McCallion Keown Solicitors Ltd who qualified from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in 1997. He specialises in Civil Litigation and Criminal Defence work.
Charlene Graham – Current NIYSA Chair, Higgins Hollywood Deazley Solicitors – Charlene has been involved in criminal work for a number of years now. She completed the Advanced Advocacy Course in 2013 and conducts a substantial amount of her own cases in the Magistrate’s and Crown Courts.
We are delighted to announce that this seminar will be introduced by Presiding District Judge Bagnall.
All CPD events will take place in the Lecture Theatre at Law Society House. Registration and Lunch will commence at 12.30pmwith each lecture beginning at 1pm sharp and ending at 2pm.
Each lecture will attract 1 hour general CPD
Attendance fee for each lecture is £20 for members/£40 non-members (Solicitors aged 36yrs and under are automatically members of the NIYSA)
