Mindfulness is the act of paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to be with what is. Join us for a very special sunset meditation session with a brief introduction to mindfulness followed by silent meditation exercises with Diana Winston, director of Mindfulness Education at UCLA. She is then joined by musicians Michael Perricone (left) on Tibetan singing bowls, vocalist Jahna Perricone (right), and UCLA Professor of Ethnomusicology A.J. Racy (middle) on the Middle Eastern nay flute, who will complement the session with the sounds of world music.
Seating is first-come, first-served; priority seating for Fowler members at 5:15 pm. Not a member? Join now!
Co-presented with UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center and the Healthy Campus Initiative.
