From 30 May to 2 June - four days of Bear Marsicano brown and spring in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise (Latium - Abruzzo - Molise) BEAR THE AWAKENING The Brown Bear is a rare subspecies of Brown Bear, which is confined to more remote areas and wilderness of the Central Apennines. We take care of bears for many years now, spreading scientific knowledge, history and culture that covers this extraordinary plantigrade. "The Awakening Bear" is a "full immersion bearberry" in the field, which will give an opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge about the bear. The program is designed for walking in areas usually frequented by bears, studying the behavior, life, nutrition and recognizing the tracks. The cool hours of the day (sunrise and sunset) are generally dedicated to the actual sighting, which will take place with respect for the animal. In this regard, we recommend to take a look at the "Ecosofia," the set of rules which inspire all our activities. Particular attention will also be devoted to reports that the bear was in the area where he lives with other animal species. An evening trip, in fact, the theme will be the Apennine Wolf (Canis lupus italicus), another amazing predator with the bear occupies the highest rung of the food pyramid.
