Teotima at The Vortex

Vortex 11 Gillett Square, London, UK

Teotima Ensemble will be playing a very special, very intimate gig at the Vortex Jazz Club, on Thurs 3rd July!

This is an opportunity to see the group at one of their rare live appearances.

Teotima is a jazz / world / soul large-ensemble supergroup. Featuring between 13 and 16 musicians on stage, musicians include members of the live bands of Mulatu Astatke, James Blake, Keith Tippet, Tricky, and These New Puritans, and members of London bands Wara, United Vibrations and FUR, and the incredible vocals of Ellie Rose Rusbridge.

The group will be playing music from their debut album 'Counting The Ways', and some new material.
'Counting The Ways' was released on First Word Records in Nov 2013 to critical acclaim - and is available to listen to and buy at www.teotima.co.uk

Booking tickets in advance is highly recommended as this gig will almost definitely sell out - it is very unlikely there will be any tickets available on the door.

Thanks to Marie-Cecile Embleton for the event photo.
