Also Monday, June 2 will in fact be visited on the same day three important locations colleonesche the rediscovery of architectural and military legacy left by the great leader Bartolomeo Colleoni, who lived in the fifteenth century and the room just in the villages of the lower Bergamo.
The "Tour of castles", involves the castle of Malpas, the village of Martinengo and Romano di Lombardia, a town ten minutes away from each other. Guided tours in Malpas, a military fortress but also a magnificent residence still well preserved frescoes and furnishings, will be available in the afternoon, from 15 to 18, while in Martinengo one visit will be held at 11 am, while the only Roman guided tour will be at 15.
Martinengo is an example of a typical medieval village, architecturally well preserved, with its fortifications as the Colleonesco Vallo, the home of Captain and the Tower of the Castle, but also its arcades and facilities desired by the civil and religious Colleoni, such example, the monastery and the convent of Santa Chiara dell'Incoronata. The meeting point for the tour is at 11am in Martinengo outside the headquarters of the Pro Loco in via Tadino 1.
The city of Romano di Lombardia, another important medieval colleonesco, with the arcades of Mercy, the imposing fortress visible in the historic center, and its churches rich in important works, such as the last supper of Moroni in the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta.
The meeting is scheduled in the afternoon at 15.00 to the Fortress.
Each of the three stages takes about an hour and you can choose which views to perform and compose your own custom tour.
