The Trans Gaspesia 2014 is a 266km, 6 stage - 7 days, self supported foot race across Quebec's Gaspe' Peninsula. Ranked as one of National Geographic Magazines Top 100 places to visit, Gaspesia is a vast expanse of mountains, arboreal forests, and rugged coastal cliffs. The area abounds with Caribou, Moose, Whales, Seals and an extensive population of birds. The Trans Gaspesia 2014 is the first in a series of multi-day racing events that will traverse the Appalachian Mountains as they once were... when they constituted the Central Pangean Mountain Range - before the US, Canada, Scotland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Spain and North Africa all went their separate ways with the movement of the Tectonic Plates. The race series will be administered by Land's End Expedition Racing. Registration is open!
