A duo, Friendship & Stoo, using Human Beatbox, Bass Trombone, Tenor Saxophone, Keyboards, and live-looping equipment to create the biggest, baddest party-funk experience you've never heard in your life.
The Hornitz was founded in May 2006 as a horn-section-for-hire in and around Boston, MA. The group worked with many notable artists such as George Clinton, Guster, and State Radio, but in 2008 The Hornitz began producing original music as a duo. After a few years of experimenting and fine-tuning, Friendship and Stoo now create a show that is one of the most dynamic spectacles ever produced by two people. Using human beatbox, horns, keyboards and modern live-looping equipment they form large walls of sound and high energy dance parties.
After playing bass in several Jam Bands, Philly's own Jedd Buller decided it was time for a new path. This new path lead to a psychedelic orchestration of live synthesizer sampling and looping. Now undergoing the moniker Double D, his Live PA set has created a psychedelic, electronic outlet to expand his musical freedom.
As a DJ, Blueshift delivers a set that is emphatically unique and indulgent for any crowd. With an appreciation for a wide range of styles, especially deep house and nu-disco, his sets provoke a nostalgic vibe that is perfectly balanced with the sounds of today. Always ahead of the curve on the latest releases and giving new life to buried gems, there is no limit to his inspiration. Blueshift's highly selective ear, feel for the dance floor, and years behind the decks allow him to entertain a diverse selection of audiences with no compromise on quality.
On the production side, Blueshift works with a range of sounds that combine elements of deep and progressive house. His tracks have been signed to notable labels that focus on this sound, including Nurvous Records and Spacewalker Recordings.
Blueshift has the the distinct privilege of co-founding the French Express blog and working for a time with the now world-famous brand's publicity. As well as writing articles for the top-tier blog, Stoney Roads, he also is a resident DJ and promoter for various parties in Philadelphia and New York. There is no question Blueshift has his finger on the pulse of the future of underground dance music.
