NADASTROM (Mad Decent, Fool's Gold, Dim Mak, Dubsided)
Since inception, the duo of Dave Nada (credited with creating the new genre at a DC-area house party in 2009) & partner Matt Nordstrom have been at the forefront of one of the biggest musical movements in recent history. Their music has been released on some of the most recognized labels in dance -- Mad Decent, Fool's Gold, Dim Mak, Dubsided & Scion AV -- and they've received near-universal acclaim from a diverse range of media outlets including Spin Magazine, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1 & even NPR. Don't miss your chance to see these pioneers live & in person.
SMOOKIE ILLSON (Ill at Will Music)
Smookie Illson is a collaborative music project aimed at injecting the dance scene with a distinct take on bass music. The first demos by the secretive trio were quickly snapped up by James Amato’s Potty Mouth Music and released in the fall of 2012. The trio would soon find their footing in the emerging 808-led bass scene. Partnering up with online blogs, they dropped a string of well-received releases, with their 2013 update of 'Club Action' by Florida's Yo Majesty! becoming a fixture in festival playlists by luminaries like Baauer and RL Grime.
