Joe the Shark is proud to bring you a taste of Coney Island to the Lower East Side with Sharkbite Sideshow! Joe the Shark brings you some of the finest storytellers, burlesque performers, sideshow artists and pole dancers in New York City every second and fourth Friday of the month at Sharkbite Sideshow.
This is a very special edition of SHARKBITE SIDESHOW, as Joe the Shark is teaming up with SHARK ANGELS! Through positive education, media and grassroots outreach, SHARK ANGELS are changing the future for sharks. They are the next generation of shark conservationists, working independently and as a network of angels to bring about change. Because sharks need all the guardian angels they can get.
So not only is it a good cause, but we have a fantastic line up of acts ready for your viewing pleasure!
Featuring performances by:
And your host for the evening, guiding you thru these shark infested waters, is none other than the award winning storyteller and often host of THE MOTH, PETER AGUERO!
Pole dancing champion SHAINA CRUEA will be warming up the audience.
And keeping everything neat and tidy will be WAE MESSED.
And if you can't make it to the show but still want to support SHARK ANGELS, you can make a donation at www.sharkangels.com/index.php/donate 100% of your donation to Shark Angels goes towards delivering positive message advocacy, like Fin Free, and educational programs to kids that can make a real difference.
Sharkbite Sideshow is the best place in Manhattan to enjoy the allure of burlesque, the wit and wisdom of a good story, and the mayhem of a circus sideshow.
Joe the Shark and SHARK ANGELS are committed to the safety and preservation of these majestic, and often misunderstood, creatures of the sea. Over 75 million sharks are killed every year by humans, and we need to change this now or these amazing creatures won't be around to play their vital role in the ecosystem.
Come on down to the Sharkbite Sideshow! We’ll take a bite out of ya!
