The event was designed to help create awareness for the movement as well as raise funds for the Latino Art Museum's
"THE LOWKEYS CHILDREN'S ART FOUNDATION"
MISSION: The Mission is to spread the encouragement of these qualities through a symbol titled: “Don’t Sleep” (No Sleeping Sign).
The symbol will have various forms of exposure such as stickers, posters, billboards, flyers, banners, graph artists, video,
Multimedia, as well as various artists’ interpretations.
HISTORY: The symbol was inspired by Award Winning Ensemble THE LOWKEYS’ lead single “The Wake Up!” a socially
Conscious anthem that commands people to seek enlightenment. The song is featured on THE LOWKEYS’ promotional
Mixtape “Project: Don’t Be Sleeping on the Lowkeys’” which contains positive social messages for the people.
THE LOWKEYS vision is to encourage positive qualities through the “Don’t Sleep” Campaign, giving the people a symbol
That they can take ownership in.
Image Description: The image is similar to the well-known “No Smoking” sign as well as many others signs that prohibit a
Certain activity. The image is depicting a person laying on a bed inside a Red Circle with a slash over it conveying the
“Don’t Sleep” statement.
