For the next in our series of events we present an evening of transatlantic techno!
Detroit's own wonder kid Kyle Hall crafts music that pushes boundaries and draws on the experience of his mentors; among them Carl Craig, Omar S and Theo Parrish. Strictly vinyl and fiercely Detroit techno!
With releases on FXHE, Warp Records, Hyperdub and Third Ear, he's taken his sounds everywhere from Panorama Bar to Space, and as the head of the Wild Oats label, he represents a sound that builds on the music of his home city and the waves of Detroit artists who came before him.
Johnny Kaos crafts tough, bass-driven rhythms with a hedonistic edge, and with such a fresh and unique sound, it's easy to see why labels like Dubfire's Sci+Tec, Coyu's Suara and Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics have snapped up his recordings.
This year you can expect more music from Johnny on a host of respected labels including MB Elektronics, Break New Soil and Sci+Tec. For a better idea of what to expect, we suggest you keep your ear to the ground for the latest episode in our podcast series.
We'll be beefing up the powerful Saint Judes sound system once more with extra Funktion One units and 3d visuals from VJ Planet Arm. Add to this Boom Merchant's energetic future grooves and an extended 4am license and we're all set for a very special evening.
