On Thursday 19th June, Muk Muk Fine Art presents the photographic exhibition “Atmospheric Immersion” by local photographer Steven Pearce.
"Atmospheric Immersion" is Steven Pearce's first solo exhibition and he describes this series as ‘observations and experiences above the horizon’.
By moving beyond the horizon and ‘focusing on more than the physical terrain’ he aims to capture the inspiring skylines that all Central Australians and visitors to this region have found themselves in awe of time and time again.
Over the last 4 years Steve has travelled extensively to many reaches of the earth chasing unique photographic opportunities. However, he has always thought of Alice Springs and the Central Deserts of Australia as being home. This year he has returned from his travels to dedicate his first solo photographic show to the skies above the desert.
‘We have all been stopped dead in out tracks, quickly fallen silent or had our days brightened by the sky above us… something fleeting yet so inspiring.’
With Steven Pearce in attendance, "Atmospheric Immersion" opens 6pm Thursday 19th June at Muk Muk Fine Art, 14 Lindsay Ave, Alice Springs.
Exhibition will run until Saturday 5th July.
