Astegno was born in Vicenza, Italy. As a young girl, she participated with her family in educational trips all over Europe. In high school she was fully grown up through classical studies. She had a Master Degree at the University of Venice in 1999. in Architecture. Nevertheless painting, in every aspect, has always been the core of her interests, as the main way to express herself and the sense and aim in life. So, during the years, she has been cultivating and developing it (from portraits to reproductions of famous works with different techniques to her personal works belonging to a sort of Magic Realism) in a parallel course as regards the one of her education. She also had private lessons from Giorgio Scarato, great Italian illustrator, from May 2002 to
March 2003. She attended classes on engraving and etching from October 2003 to December 2003 in Lonigo, Vicenza. She is known in Vicenza, Italy. In St Louis, Missouri, she has been the resident artist from 2004 to 2007of the Third Floor Gallery on Washington for which has also curated art shows in 2007. She has been participating also to many drawing sessions of the “Draw Club”; also participated to shows organized by “Art Dimensions” in St Louis, “Women’s Caucus for Art”, also in St Louis, “AMP” in Los Angeles and “The Board of Investment Art” in Chicago. She has painted live in St Louis at events such as the Taste of St Louis, the Stan Musial Gala (2010, 2011) , Wall Ball (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and the Open Studios at the Contemporary Art Museum. Her works are in collectors’ houses around the USA and Italy.
