We are very pleased to announce Tim Sheridan as our next guest to join us in the grand hall at the Illustrious Society.
Originally a classical performer in the British Military, Tim Sheridan found a love of Washington Go-Go liberated him to become a drummer and an early pioneer of Linn and Simmons electronic kits. By the mid 80's he was deeply into electronic music both live and recorded. He got his first industry break in 1988 with childhood friends the Utah Saints, then an experimental electronic group and rave promoters. They went on to have several chart hits but Tim soon went his own way as a DJ and has become an international name over his 30 year career behind the decks.
He has been a full time resident at Cream, Home, Manumission, Ministry of Sound, Space Ibiza, Turnmills, The Key and Matter. He is the most frequently booked guest at the UKs longest running club Back to Basics and similarly at Mr.C's Superfreq. He's been a regular guest at every major club in the world and a fixture on the festival circuit.
Tim was part of the team that took the Kiss FM radio franchise out of London and was the founder of Kiss 105 in the north of England. He wrote for Jockey Slut, Muzikand 7 magazines in their heyday and for DJ magazine each issue until very recently. Tim also helped found the popular Ibiza Voice website. He is currently one of the main features writers for Mixmag.
His production career spans 3 decades but his outstanding work is with clients that include Moloko, Finitribe, Brand New Heavies, Arthur Baker and Talvin Singh amongst many others. His studio collaborations range from classical and soundtrack work to Shaun Ryder, Howard Marks and Jon Carter to modern releases in partnership with artists such as Martin Dawson, Andre Crom and Spektre as well as his solo work.
Tim is most well known for his long association with Ibiza and after taking the island by storm with his nastydirtysexmusic beach parties he went on to the tour the concept globally with partner Smokin' Jo to eventually revive the fortunes of Ministry of Sound by taking the party there and making it one of London's premier events and universally acknowledged in the press as the No 1 New Years event in Time Out Magazine when Tim wrapped it up in 2006.
Since then Tim has mainly concentrated on his record label veryverywrongindeed also known as "VVWI" and as well as several large residencies as an event the label has gone on to great success with fans as diverse as Danny Tenaglia, Sebo K, Laurent Garnier, Ellen Allien, Dan Ghenacia, Nick Warren, John Digweed and Richie Hawtin. VVWI recently celebrated 8 happy years. His latest venture is in collaboration with Richard Norris, legendary producer of The Grid and Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve, being a new night in Dalston called simply Basement Filth.

At 28 and with a career spanning over 10 years there's not much Leeds based DJ & Love Not Money Records owner hasn't achieved, his productions have received support by the likes of Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Erick Morillo, Soul Clap and Pete Tong who featured both his remix of Dennis Ferrer's "Hey Hey" and Real Nice & Cubiq's 'Had Enough' on the Radio 1 essential selection.
Residing in Leeds, home to the UK's most vibrant clubbing scenes, he’s held a long standing residency at the cities most established club, Mint Club. Playing for Mint has offered some amazing opportunities playing back2back with both The Martinez Brothers & Style of Eye and touring various brands at Festivals such as Glade, Glastonbury, Creamfields & Secret Garden Party.
As owner of 'Love Not Money Records', in a short space of time he's turned the label in to one of the House scenes most talked about new music outputs. Since launching late 2011 the label has already found it's feet among the dance elite. Releasing over 100 tracks alone last year. Now close to their 50th release they’ve gained support worldwide on BBC Radio 1, Capital FM and Ibiza Global Radio. Racking up 15 Beatport top 100's along the way.
