Antics - foolish, outrageous, or amusing behaviour. Also an album by Interpol. Now one of the best clubnights the North-West has seen in years. Since late 2011, Antics has been showcasing the best new bands that most of your family would probably hate. It all started at The Ferret in Preston and now it’s making waves here at Night & Day Café instead. Manchester, consider yourselves lucky.
If three of the best new bands about isn’t enough for punters, after they’ve finished, the night goes from showcase to party as The Ark Preston DJ’s take the helm. Tunes are thrown into the crowd from The Beatles through to Jaguar Ma, Soulwax to The Smiths and everything incredible in between.

The Unkindness Of Ravens are an electro-rock boy/ girl two-piece from Berlin. Their sound is a fierce hybrid of fuzzed out garage rock guitar and stripped down raw electronic beats. Fronted by modern day femme fatale front woman Nina Wagner, the duo have been making their name across Europe with their dark, explosive live shows and art-rock record releases. Following 2012’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Virus’, hailed by tastemakers such as The VPME as one of the albums of the year, 2014 sees the release of new album ‘Killing Horizon’. Set to drop in May, the record is a visceral display of the band’s stylish minimalist power and dark poetic edge. Set for release on digital and vinyl through legendary Berlin label Pale Music International, ‘Killing Horizon’ is preceded by the single ‘Light Gives You Form’, the band’s most club-centric track yet. Experience The Unkindness Of Ravens live as they bring their exhilarating and revolutionary sound across Europe throughout 2014.
