Come and celebrate house music in all its glory with Back 2 Bassics, as we pay homage to its last two decades.
Old School vs New School sees us bring together a line up that will truly represent the beautiful nostalgia of early 90s house music, with present day bassline beats.
On the night we welcome four DJs that have lit up Back 2 Bassics at recent parties, and when we found out they were all free for the same night we had a sex wee.
On top off this, we'll have the latest license in town, with tunes on our beast system from 9pm til 3am.
Representing the Old School crew, we have the mighty combination of Groove Motion & Duncan K, industry pioneers who's CVs read like a house music bucket list. In the opposite corner we have the new kids on the block, DDHR and Olivrx, dragging us into the digital age with some nu garage and dirty bass.
Groove Motion are a DJ duo consisting of Wayne Altham and Jack Henwood, and combined they have spent over 25 years spinning tunes at some of Europe's most prestigious venues, including the legendary old school night, Helter Skelter, at Club Eden.
They have enjoyed playing alongside some of the world's biggest household names, including EZ, Hype, LTJ Bukem, Nicky BlackMarket, Slipmatt, Orbital, Stanton Warriors, Grant Nelson, CJ Mackintosh, and Freestylers.
Duncan K has been involved in every facet of the industry, from DJing the Ibiza circuit which took him to Manumission, Eden and Space, through to representing and working alongside some of the world’s biggest artists including Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Joris Voorn and Plump DJs.
With old school his true love, he’s dusting off the vinyl and taking it back to the tracks that got him into the business.
Olivrx makes his second appearance at Back 2 Bassics and kicks things off for the new school. He tore the Mulberry apart last time out, finishing up in a back to back set with the second new school DJ of the night, DDHR.
As always, he’ll be throwing a healthy bit of drum & bass in to wrap up the night ☺
